SkyBridge
The best place to start your sightseeing in Langkawi is with a visit to the Langkawi SkyBridge. A walk along this bridge is one of the most popular things to do on the island. The Langkawi SkyBridge is the world’s longest free-span curved bridge, suspended almost 2,000 feet above sea level by a single pylon – an incredible engineering achievement.
The bridge stretches between two mountain peaks and offers breathtaking scenery all around. It’s a great way to take in the natural beauty of Langkawi.
To reach the SkyBridge, you’ll need to take the Langkawi SkyCab, the world’s steepest cable car, with the top station located 708 metres above sea level. Before reaching the top, passengers stop at the middle station to enjoy panoramic views across the island and the nearby sea. Once you reach the top, the views get even better – you’re standing on top of Machinchang Mountain, and on a clear day, you can even see all the way to southern Thailand.
From the top station, you can either take a short jungle walk to the SkyBridge or hop on the SkyGlide, an inclined lift that runs up and down the mountainside – a good option if you’re travelling with kids or anyone who’d rather skip the walk.
3D Art In Paradise
Right next to the SkyCab, you’ll find 3D Art Langkawi – one of those interactive art museums that have become popular all over the world. This one is actually the second largest of its kind globally and has become one of Langkawi’s must-visit attractions.
The museum is divided into different themed zones, including optical illusions, an aquarium zone, a safari zone, and several others. Visitors can walk through each area and pose for photos that make it look like they’re part of the artwork. One moment you might be standing beside a wild animal, and the next, you’re floating through space – it’s all about perspective and creativity.
3D Art Langkawi is open every day from 9 AM to 6 PM. Tickets cost RM38 for adults and RM28 for children, but you can usually get a better deal if you purchase them together with your SkyCab ticket.

Seven Wells Waterfall
Locally known as Telaga Tujuh, or Seven Wells Waterfall, this natural wonder gets its name from the seven connected pools formed by water flowing down Mount Machinchang, Langkawi’s second-highest peak. It’s one of the island’s most beautiful landmarks, with a 91-metre drop and lush rainforest all around.
There are two main hiking options here. The lower falls are just a short 10-minute climb from the car park – steep but manageable – and you can enjoy a swim in the cool pools at the bottom. There are toilets, pagodas, and a few stalls selling food and drinks nearby.
If you’re feeling energetic, continue to the top of the falls. It’s a tougher climb – about an hour with over 600 steps – but you’ll be rewarded with sweeping views and natural pools perfect for cooling off after the hike.
Keep an eye out for macaques, giant squirrels, and hornbills along the way, and be sure to keep any snacks tucked away – the monkeys are cheeky and skilled at stealing!
The falls are most impressive after rainfall, so they’re worth visiting even during the monsoon season, though the rocks can get slippery.
Parking costs RM2, and it’s conveniently close to the SkyCab if you’re visiting both in one day.
Zipline Adventure
If you’ve ever wanted to soar through the rainforest, Skytrex Adventure Langkawi is the place to do it. This outdoor park offers ziplining, climbing, and balancing your way through 35 obstacles set high among the trees – a combination of challenge and pure fun.
You can choose your level of adventure with beginner, intermediate, and advanced courses – the advanced one is not for the faint-hearted! As you make your way through, you’ll be surrounded by lush tropical forest that’s home to more than 200 bird species, and if you’re lucky, you might see some wildlife too.
Safety is everything here, and the staff will make sure you’re harnessed in properly before you start.
Island Hopping
An island-hopping tour is one of the best things to do in Langkawi and should be high on your list. It’s one of the easiest and most affordable ways to see the islands’ stunning coastline and hidden beaches.
Most tours include hotel transfers and visits to several nearby islands. One of the main stops is Pulau Dayang Bunting, Langkawi’s second-largest island, known for the Lake of the Pregnant Maiden.
You can swim, rent a paddleboard, and take in the scenery. You’ll also stop to watch eagles, snorkel, and visit beaches where you can let everything go and just relax.
